ABOUT THE PROJECT

Honor mention ‘Lucky Strike Junior Design Award 2007’

SITUATION

This dissertation aimed to analyse the relationship between contemporary design and time, which is immaterial and rarely used as core in projects. In terms of sustainability is important to treat time as a scarce resource that cannot be renewed.

MY ROLE

Group project in which I have helped conducting extensive literature analysis, case study research, micro and macro trends collection to gain insights to build the three scenarios as final recommendations.

APPROACH

The research is divided in three parts with a defined result for each: 1) A database of about 200 projects with time as a subject; 2) Definition of the specific micro and macro trends in order to understand market orientation; 3) A creation of 3 different scenarios with guidelines to help the designers involved in projects regarding the time. All these tools are created in order to design products and services that help users to optimise their time.
